Interface Cards بطاقات مثل بطاقات الصوت او الشبكة

بطاقات التداخل عبارة عن لوحات متكاملة يتم ادخالهم في شقوق التوسعة على اللوحة الام

Interface cards are integrated circuit boards that fit into an expansion slot on the motherboard.

طريقة تركيب (اضافة) بطاقة جديدة:

Install and configure peripherals

Typical installation of a peripheral:

اطفاء الجهاز وازالة جميع الكوابل

Power off the PC and remove the mains power cord

اتخاذ خطوات الوقاية من الكهرباء الساكنة لئلا يتعطل الحاسوب او اجهزته

Take ESD precautions

ازالة الغطاء الخارجي للحاسوب

Remove system case cover

ابحث عن شق فارغ

Find available expansion slot

ازالة قطعة الحديد(الموجودة خلف الجهاز) حتى يمكن وضع البطاقة الجديدة

Remove blanking plate (covering slot at the back of the system case)

اضافة البطاقة عن طريق ادخالها في الشق بحذر مع الضغط الكافي وشدّ البرغي

Insert PC card, pressing firmly into place, and securing with a screw

ارجاع الغطاء

Replace case

توصيل الكوابل الخارجية

Connect external cables (including the mains power cord)

تشغيل الجهاز

Power on

بعض المرات يلزم الدخول على BIOS للتأكد من اضافته في النظام

Check BIOS, Plug n Play

تركيب برنامج التعريف لهذه البطاقة داخل ويندوز على سبيل المثال

Install drivers (Add/Remove Hardware)

تأكد من عدم وجود تضارب في برنامج DEVICE MANAGER (ادارة الاجهزة)

Check for conflicts in Device Manager

افحص عمل البطاقة الجديدة

Test the peripheral.

Always follow these steps each time, for every peripheral you install, even if installing more than one at a time. Ensure the first one is working properly before starting the next.

Converts digital computer signals to audible analog tones to send data (modulation) and reconverts analog signals to digital to receive data (demodulation) over phone lines

نظام الازدواجيةDuplexing

Simplex: one-way communication

نظام استكشاف الخطأ في الاشارات

Error Detection

Current modem standards: V.42 MNP4 and V.42 LAPM

Parity check: adds a parity bit to each piece of data (sum = even/odd), not reliable (cannot detect double-bit errors)

Checksum: sends value as last two bits

Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC): algorithm that divides a block of data by a binary number (16 or 32 bit) and the remainder is the checksum.
